Itinerary description
Walk from village of Chamorga through forest uphill and then fairly long downhill zigzag path through forest. At signposts, follow sign to Benijo. Path is on an exposed side of the mountain, so in full sun, with little shade. Path is zigzag descent, rocky and dry, so can be slippy. At Benijo, have grilled fish of the day at Restaurante El Fronton! Take road towards El Draguillo. This turns into a steep rocky path uphill which eventually meets the original path where you turned off to Benijo. Lovely walk with great views but would say is difficult due to the steep terrain in hot weather, and rocky, uneven paths. Take plenty of water!
