Itinerary description
Circular trail around Ajuy. Lots of geological and historical interest. Caves, harbour, lime kilns, natural features.
Of geological interest these are some of the oldest rocks on the island. Have very distinctive dyke intrusions which are truncated by an unconformity with raised beach deposits, conglomerates and calcareous sands. South of the bay look out for the zebra rock, an altered basalt due to migmatic granite intrusion.
