Itinerary description
We did this short hike after the first snowfall and it was great! Even though it is not too long, it was challenging enough for us without snowshoes and our almost 2-years old on our back. We started at the 'Alto de la Cobertoria' where there's enough space to park your car. From there, we hiked uphill towards a small 'refugio' (closed) and continued our way towards the 'main' road (which actually leads to the Alto Gamoniteiro at 1791 m). We returned via the main road.
While this route normally is well-accessible, the snow made it challenging for us to find the right track so we advise you to use the wikiloc app to find your way. Also, keep an eye on the weather since thick fog and snow can come up real quick and causes you to become disoriented. But with the great weather of today we had beautiful panoramic views on the mountains of the nearby Natural Park Las Ubinas la Mesa!
