Itinerary description
We found this walk made and uploaded by DAORINO, called 'Paseo Por La Sierra De La Plata', on Wikiloc but we put ours on Wikiloc too as our description is in English.
There is more than enough parking space where we parked our car and from the starting point of the walk you already have wonderful views on the Bolonia wide dune, Bolonia itself, the beaches, the coast to the south, and the ocean of course.
The first Mirador presents itself very quickly and from there it is worthwhile walking the rocky path up for an additional view. Going back the same way and reaching the road again you follow it until you see a small track to the left, northern direction, which you follow until you see a fence.
If you decide on a very easy walk you can follow the road instead of taking the path as the road will also lead you to the second Mirador.
Shortly before the fence you cross a little stream and follow the narrow path that winds its way through the shrubbery. Once you reach the face of the rock you start following the very narrow path with the face of the rock on your left all the way up.
The going is a bit slow here as the path is narrow and there are many bushes and branches that hide the path but it is a beautiful part nevertheless as you will have a wonderful view all the time of the rock face on your left and we saw many birds of prey circling above us and perching on narrow rock tops.
Once you reach the highest point of this track you go to your right following an easy track that descends to the road at the second Mirador (Cueva del Moro).
From there you follow the road until it makes a hairpin and a couple of hundreds of metres further on you take a narrow easy path to the right that takes you a height of 400 metres to some kind of transmission station.
Initially we ignored this path flollowing the road instead after this hairpin but the road turned out to be barred further on with a sign that prohibits you to enter the area as it is a military station.
Once you have reached the 400 metres the track becomes very enjoyable, walking as it were through a wide gorge at 400 metres high, a very beautiful part indeed.
Leaving this 'gorge' the track makes a wide bend to the right and after that leads you down to the starting point giving you wonderful views almost all the time.

Information
Easy to follow
Scenery
Moderate
This is rarely trodden route and the the first quarter is an ongoing battle through shrubs, bushes etc. Worth the effort though
