Easy to follow
Scenery
Moderate
Not as straightforward as we thought. Mostly road walking. The leg down to El Varadero is very steep for anyone with knee problems. Definitely worth it to see the very pretty village.
The next stage along the coastal path has actually been closed due to a rock fall but having made it that far we pressed on. After scrambling over the rocks and along a short stretch of beach - which wouldn't have been possible if the tide was in - arriving in Tabaiba we were met by a metal fence blocking the path but we managed to scramble around it.
The last leg back to the carpal is a steady slog up hill by via quiet roads
