The hunter thought, "His words, thoughts, and actions are truly con-
sistent." The uttermost faith thus arose within him. He shed many tears
and bowed down at Mila's feet, crying, "Oh precious Jetsunl I now offer
you my deer, my bitch, my bow and arrows, and my lasso. I and my bitch
have committed many sins. I pray you to free my bitch, Red Lightning
Lady, thus delivering her to the higher Realms; and [I pray you] to bring
this black deer to the Path of Great Happiness. I pray you grant me, the
huntsman Chirawa Gwunbo Dorje, the teaching of the Dharma and
lead me to the Path of Liberation." Then he sang:
Sitting on my right side is the deer
With horns as white as snow.
The markings round his mouth are his adornment.
If I slay him, my ravenous appetite
For seven days might be satisfied.
Now I do not need him and offer him to you.
