Itinerary description
Starts at the western most entrance to Zuheros. A short, moderate difficulty circular hike thru olive groves along one of the local traditional 'via pecuria' (droveway) starting at he beginning of the 'Sendero del Rio Bailon' near the spring known as 'La Fuente del Charco Hondo' to the ancestral spring known as 'La Fuente del Pozuelo' and back . The path is still used by local sheepherders - so you are likely to come across a herd of sheep at, or on your way to or from 'el pozuelo'. Please note that the spring water is not fit for human consumption.
Along the way you will encounter the remnants of two unexcavated bronze age Iberian settlements.
If you start at dawn there is a good chance you will come across a small of herd Iberian ,'cabra montés' in Spanish (Capra pyrenaica) at the hike's start and end point where they drink from the spring.
