Itinerary description
Park in shade by the old Casa Forestal de Collado Zamora at the side of the JV-7107 dirt road from Quesada/Cazorla up to the 'Naciamento Guadalquivir'. Walk up the hill to the Collado Valiente and then right into the forest and on to the trail which is closed by a chain. It goes up a winding the steep hill on what must have been a jeep trail to the eventual summit of 1720m at the Viso de la Nava where there are truly amazing panoramas. Then a long downhill to the Puerto de Tiscar before a sharp right and then back along below the edge of the cliff before the long gradual climb through the forests to the Casa Forestal.
Note that this trail must have been used by forest vehicles at one time or other but that at times the marks are not too visible.
Should easily be possible in less than 7 hours on foot. It's 2 or 3 hours walk up from the lowest point to the start, take plenty of water! Also possible by mountain bike
