Itinerary description
An easy well surfaced walk EXCEPT for the ascent up to the 'el Cafe'which is pretty hard work. Park at Collformic and set off on the trail to the left of the restaurant. The trail winds round the hill with pleaant views of the valley down to Montseny. Eventually turn down the hill at the La Cortada farm.
It is well worth diverting off the track to see the Ermita de Sant Cristofol built 1021!. Then carry on down the hill to where you eventually turn right at the GR5. There is a good track which suddenly becomes narrow winding and very steep as you cross the stream at the foot of the slope up to the el Cafe and the Pla de la Calma. When you get up on the plateau you can rest in the ruins before the easy walk across the plateau back to Collformic with some particularly splendid views across to el Brull on one side and to Matagalls and the Turò de l'Home on the other.
