Itinerary description
We started with breakfast in Cortes, tostada y aceite, then set off downhill to Cortes Estacion. Trough the village then along to the riverside and joined the old Camino from Gaucin heading towards the Ubrique road. A slight detout near the top to look at the Mooris Castle then along an amazing walled path past a well then eventually turn back and enter Cortes from the Ubrique side. A weel earned beer and tapa in the village.

A great walk in some beautiful countryside, especially the second part of the walk that takes you up into the woods and farmland. We were fortunate enough to see Griffon Vultures feeding, probably on the afterbirth of a lamb, in the field adjacent to the track.
Please be aware that on leaving the railway line to start your ascent the path soon becomes very, very overgrown. It is advisable to stay to the left hand side of the way-marked path. Also the chained up dogs around the farm at the top of the hill are a little daunting!
