Itinerary description
EN: Departure from Fañabé area or Plaza del Duque, of course the walk can be started from any point you want.
The hike begins in Fañabé on Costa Adeje along the resort promenade that ends in the wild Enramada beach area. The coastal promenade continues through La Caleta, a former fishing village (fish restaurants!).
Behind the El Varadero bar-restaurant, the coastal path starts and climbs to the plateau above the cliffs before stretching quietly along the coastline, with a beautiful view of the Adeje mountains, the Cumbre and towards La Gomera. The path leads us to a wonderful rocky bay and its pebble beach, Playa de los Morteros. After the bay the path goes up to the plateau before returning to the sea and to a sumptuous sandy beach, Playa Diego Hernández. The coastal path runs along the wall of a plantation and stretches over a strip of land to the large sandy cove of El Puertito.
We continue to advance towards Playa Paraiso bypassing the holiday village taking a left on the coast and we cross a barranco with a pebble beach, Playa Las Salinas. At the time I recorded this walk, the coastal lane on the banks of the resorts was under renovation, but you can get a view of Playa Paraiso from the terrace of the Paraiso del Sur hotel, in front of the Hard Rock Hotel.
From there we make our way back through this hippie stronghold of Tenerife where many marginalized people live and spend their vacations in grotes, simple cabins and tents, on the most beautiful beaches of the southwest coast.
