Itinerary description
The trail, also known as Llanos del Revés and Llano del Ravel or del Rabel, is located on the road that connects the towns of Grazalema with Zahara de la Sierra, at km 8, near the port of Los Acebuches. Almost the entire route runs along a forest track until we reach Los Llanos, at the foot of the Pinsapar, from where we can see the entire north face of the Sierra del Pinar with its peak El Torreón and the Pinsapar. From here you can take a small circular route through a dense forest of gall oaks
This hiking trail starts near the Port of Los Acebuches and takes us into the Reserve Zone along an even and firm path, making it a very suitable walk for children, the elderly and groups.
We will arrive at the Spanish fir forest by a path with dense Mediterranean vegetation that provides shelter to a great variety of fauna. In the background we will see the Sierra del Pinar, where the silhouette of El Torreón stands out, and, even higher, the impeccable flight of the vultures.
In addition to griffon vultures, we can spot other birds such as common goshawks, short-toed treecreepers, nuthatches, blue tits, great tits and finches.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:
No pets are allowed on this hiking trail, as it is in the reserve area.
This hiking trail is subject to administrative authorisation. For individuals, it is managed at the El Bosque visitor centre, preferably by email: cvelbosque@reservatuvisita.es, or by phone: 956 709 733. Active tourism companies, clubs, associations, federations or legally constituted groups should contact the Office of the Natural Park, telephones: 600 161 916/600 161 906.
From June 1 to October 15 due to the high risk of forest fires, the trail ends in Llanos de Rabel.
