Itinerary description

Our objective was to hike to Laguna de Apoyo but it didn't work out quite as planned. We started in a poor neighbourhood and joined up with a road that leads to the top. At the top there was several new buildings (no one was around) some signage but we could not locate the trail down to the water. After a couple of failed attempts and getting low on water we decided to head back. I noticed what may be a path down the crater to the waters edge and marked it as a waypoint (also see photos). May have to take another run at this one....

Nuestro plan era caminar hasta Laguna de Apoyo. No funcionó como estaba previsto. Empezamos en un barrio pobre, y seguido de una carretera a la cima. Vimos varios edificios nuevos, pero hay gente. No se pudo encontrar el camino al agua, dos o tres intentos. Vi un camino que puede ir a la orilla del agua y marqué como waypoint. Bajo el agua, vamos a tener que probar otra vez ....
