Itinerary description

We started the trail from the restaurant on Cruz del Carmen and we followed the signs towords Chinamada. The trail starts on the right hand side of the restaurant and it goes down to Chinamada via a beautiful forest and because a part of the trail is closed it was diverted and I think it added more than 1 kilometer to the length of the trail. Everything is marked and you get very easy to Chinamada and from there you only have 600 meters to the Mirador and you will see some stunning views from there.
On the way back we followed another trail registered in this app and the path is not marked at all and it starts next to a house, opposite to the official signs. From here the adventure starts and you go down to about 200 meters altitude on a very steep trail with stones and also a very small part of via ferata. At some point you will have the impression that you are crossing people's yards, but this is how the footpath goes. You will find at some point again some official signs and you should follow those. This part from Chinamada via Batan valley until the official signs I have the impression that it is not popular and not maintained and at some point there is also a sign with trail closed for safety reasons, but we saw it after we have done the whole trail, because on top when we started the downhill there was no sign. The whole circular trail is amazing and challenging because from Chinamada you are basically on the way back but you are going down the hill. I found this trail quite difficult and I would not recommend doing it if wet. Otherwise, the views, the challenge, the tranquility all are amazing.
