Itinerary description

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE FINAL PART.

We started in Cueva Bermeja following the official route with signposts (route S37) which can take one all the way to Pico de las Nieves. As a side note, we came by bus from Las Palmas to Ingenio. We had a lovely coffee at the main square of the town and got a taxi to Cueva Bermeja (10 Euro). Our plan was to do a circular route down the ravine, to its top, crossing from one side of the ravine to the other and return to Cueva Bermeja. However, we didn’t come by car, so we ended up changing our route to be linear, we ended up in Santa Lucía. The route was spectacular. We abandoned S37 when we decided to cross the ravine. It is marked with a waypoint and a photo. That part, from the waypoint of crossing the ravine to the top, was quite adventurous. It is not marked by any signposts. The path was not very visible occasionally and very steep, it was wonderful though. I would avoid it at all costs to do it downhill. Occasionally we kind of climbed. At the end of the steep inclination we found the official sign posts of route S42 to Santa Lucía and we went there because there is a bus from there as opposed to Cueva Bermeja … this route is Part 1 of our adventure that day. Basically you need to load the other route on my profile to connect 2 routes. The connection point: the top of Bar. Guayadeque/S42 signposts.
