Day 2: Vall de Núria - Refugi Coma de Vaca - Queralbs
Distance 17.95 km, Climb 528 m, Travel time 4 hours 42 minutes, Total time 6 hours 14 minutes.
From Nuria to Como de Vaca, a stretch of about 10 km is fantastically beautiful. In places it is narrow and over cliffs of 50-100 meters. I do not recommend going it in bad weather, because there will be little to see and dangerous. It may be worth taking a safety lanyard with a carabiner, in some dumb places there are steel cable railings. I also came across groups with children, but I would not go with children (well, or in a bunch).
From Como de Vaca to Queralbs a very beautiful route - stunning views of the mountains and rocks, then a pine forest.
There is one place where you need to go over the cliff, but it is wide.
From Queralbs to Ribes-Enllaç, the Cremallera mountain train costs only 6 euros, so it makes sense to take this section. Having reached the final train waiting for the train, you can sit in the bar right at the station - cold beer and hot snacks will be your reward.
How can you optimize the route? Send one of the most physically unprepared people in everything heavy (tents, sleeping bags, food) on a Cremallera to Nuria. There he/she will put up a tent, throw everything in there and take a walk around the neighborhood while waiting for the group. You can do the same on the way back. Good luck!
