Itinerary description

wonderful alternative road up to the Plateau of the archduke Road, well the road starts immediately by the busstop, pretty soon you leave a normal road and you enter on stony roads an terraces full of olive trees, later on it becomes a forestal walk mostly oak trees. the walk leads up by marked fita's (stone marks along the road). The walk leads up to over 1000 meters above sea level, we Skipped the last ascent towards Puig Teix, because it was to cloudy to get anyway great views. it's somehow a cloudy and windy area in general. So walking above the clouds is what you experience literally. After you descent from the ladder the route connects with the famous Archduke road, we walked it partly until the junction where you have the option to descent again towards Deià through the GR 221 road (Pla Des Aritges) or rather choose on of the 2 ways that lead towards Valldemossa. We took the shortest way that avoids passing through a private property. It was ruffly a 6 hours walk(1 hour break), experience hikers might walk it in about 5 hours i guess. All and all a great alternative version that goes partly of the beaten track, with amazing views towards, deià, Soller, Bunyola and Valldemossa.
