Itinerary description
We climbed by cable car and then, after walking around the top (some folk may feel the lack of oxygen), we started our descent by the eastern slope, stopping at the Altavista refuge for a snack (don't forget to bring them, as well as water).
The top is cold and windy so warm clothes are necessary. The path starts with a rocky track very easy to follow, and at some point it turns into a dirt road. After a while, we reach the road that bring us back to the parking lot, at the cable car base station.
The landscape is very fascinating and, along the way, there are plenty of informative signs that explain the geology of the landscape.
If you're lucky enough you may see some goat-like animals wandering at the lower part of the trail: the mouflons.
