Itinerary description
This is a nice and easy trail for everybody. Starting at the bridge over river Dessoubre, we followed the river upstream to the next bridge, where we went left and uphill to Battenans-Varin. From there it's fairly horizontally to Fontenotte through the woods, with a nice view towards the Dessoubre Valley. Going downhill through the Bois de Moron, crossing the D464 road and some cattle meadows, you will reach Orgeans.
From this small village we took Waroly as our next goal, since there are some small waterfalls and along this small river we headed straight back to the Dessoubre. Following the river upstream for a few kilometers, passing some beautiful rock faces and some small rivers and waterfalls, we came back to our car.
In the last part along the Dessoubre the path is sometimes small and on your right side it's a steep slope that goes down to the river. After rainy days, you should be a litte careful.
