Itinerary description
Following the standard Route up and down Devils Peak from Tafelberg road. This route is well demarcated for most of the way up. Only near the summit does the trail split into different path options but the trigonometric beacon is easy to spot and reach. The route is exposed to the sun in summer and offers little shade and options to refill water so pack accordingly. Intersections are well marked and views are rewarding in all directions. Parking is plentiful but take care to not leave valuables in your vehicle and be cautious especially after dark. Start early and walk in a group if possible. The route is popular and busy when weather is good.
