Itinerary description
An easy to follow and, at times, spectacular hike, which starts at Duesaigües and climbs up via a paved route to Escornalbou. The walk includes a short tarmac section of about 10 minutes which leads you up to the castle / monastery. The best part is coming down the other side following a cobbled route and an ecosystem of ferns, cork oaks and stunning views. L' Argentera, which lays alongside the route is worth a small detour because, in my opinion, it's one of the nicest villages I have seen in the south of Catalonia. The route continues via the "camino real" a well maintained bridleway which runs alongside high stonewalls and ends back at Duesaigües.
