Itinerary description
WHERE: Dúrcal – Peñon de los Moros circular
NOTES: This is a trail of 2 contrasts. The route to and along the Rio Dúrcal is relatively flat and very scenic. There is a possibility of getting wet feet crossing the river (depending on the flow)
The trail then leads through a scenic gorge that involves some scrambling. (Not advisable for those with severe vertigo)! The path has recently been updated & some steels ropes & hand/foot holds have been added. There is a steepish ascent up out of the gorge to the Peñon del Moro. (It’s actually not too bad). At the peñon then follow the path around & back to Dúrcal.
.The beginning and end of the route is on roads and the rest on well-defined tracks.
