Itinerary description
To visit this forest permission is required. This area is unique and therefore of maximum ecological value and protected.
This is an easy way to get to Bosque de las Nieblas, an enchanted and ancient woodlands often where frequent rain and low clouds cover gives it an extremely humid environment almost year round - this gives the forest a mystical appearance with bright green moss hanging from the trees and, the woodland floor and rocks littered with leaves and ferns.
On this walk the route ends before we reached the forest on this ocasion, as I hadn't gotten the permission and the weather turned very wet and windy. Nevertheless, the walk up is along wide tracks before we take a well defined narrow woodland path to the Bosque. The wide tracks were built to service the wind turbines and communications aerials atop the mountain. So its easy to continue where i ended the trek all the way along pretty paths that follow the stream in times of rain, and into the bosque de las nieblas, another kilometre or so uphill. The way down can be along the same route.
To enter the nature reserve you need a permission and to get this please email:
