Itinerary description
First warning: This is not just the Eiger trail. The Eiger trail is the section starting at 2.3 km at the Eigergletscher station and ending at 8.8 km at Alpiglen station. The section between Kline Scheidegg and the Eigergletscher is called the Jungfrau-Eiger trail and from the Alpiglen downwards it follows the Via Alpina down to Grindelwald.
Second Warning: The logistics are very easy as you can take the cable car or the cog train from Grindelwald. You may also spare your knees by taking the train from Alpiglen or Brandegg down to Grindelwald... Or take other options to go down to Grindelwald from Alpiglen.
This is a trail with impressive views over the Grindelwald valley, the peaks and glaciers around. You will see half dozen peaks with mores than 4000 m... you hear the sound of the glaciers breaking that is both impressive and scaring, you will be walking by the Eiger North Face and learn about its conquer... An absolute MUST!
