Itinerary description
Starting out at the small village of El Acebuchal, keep left up the dry river bed. Turn right up the GR249. At the top of the path turn right on to the road
After a few hundred meters take a left turn.
This track climbs steadily upwards, take a right facing towards El Fuerte.
Follow the fire break which turns into a rough track off to the right.
From here on the climb is difficult in places with some tricky obstacles to overcome.
It's not for the faint hearted & good footwear is highly recommended.
Eventually you come out on the path up from Frigiliana. Turn right & climb to the top.
The path down is a little unclear at times & overgrown.
Continue down to the road, take a right & follow the track down to El Acebuchal.

Hola Garry, a perfect walk! I did it in the opposite direction which seems to be more comfortable for my knees due to the less steep descent. I think that the rating should be "difficult" than moderate due to the pathless slope along Lomas del Fuerte. Many greetings, Alexander
