Itinerary description
I highly recommend this moderate hilly walk with lovely views. This walk takes you up through the old mining area where predominantly lead and silver were the main metals mined. The mines were discovered in the 1850’s and were mined up to the 1960’s. They also discovered Jarosite here which put the area on the map as traces of this have been found on Mars. The track leads to the main house at the top and a short distance further on from here the view to the coast is stunning. You then make your way back down with some more mining history along the way. Great walk that many will like. There is a small amount with a drop to one side but the path is good and plenty wide enough to be safe.
