Itinerary description
In this section, we leave the plains and plantations near the coast of the Caribbean and enter rolling hills. Barbed wire fences divide the territory into fields and grazing land, interrupted by stretches of untouched jungle. The trail provides a pathway through the farmland here, and brings us to the edge of indigenous territory. We conclude at the fringe of Parque Nacional Barbilla, with a view of mountains blanketed in the deep green of ancient forests.
