Itinerary description
We got the bus from Porto for 2 hours to Valença to start the Camino Portuguese as we only have 5 days to walk. The way was wonderful. You first cross a river into Spain and into the cute town of Tui. We walked past the cathedral and in the forest. Then we went along the road for a while. We took the complimentary way to avoid the industrial area it was 1km longer but so nice in the forest and worth it. We went through O Porrino a fairly uneventful town and then slightly uphill ending up in Saxamonde. We would have stopped in Rua (Mos) at a super nice Alburgue but there was no spaces. So went on. But the Alburgue here is nice with a lovely restaurant
