Itinerary description

This is an amazing walk through an astounding landscape. Unbelievable what erosion and the elements can do to the landscape.

We parked our car at the parking place of the Repsol gas station coming from the direction of Murcia, taking exit 155 of the A 30.

When the track turns sharply to the north west after approximately 2,5 kilometres the scenery is becoming beautiful and shortly you will see the moonlike landscape. When the track starts to circle around it you have to take care of where you step as you could easily misstep or cause further breakage on the ground. What you see is really spectacular and it is amazing that this place is still accessible as the path is sometimes non existent and you have to manage your way along a fence that isn hanging in the air.

We followed this track alongside the canyon until we came level with it and could easily enter it. You can really explore a lot in this canyon and you wil see many weird and astounding stone formations.

After getting back to the entrance we followed a broad track that led us to horse riding farm, Finca La Constancia, where we turned to the right and after a couple of hundred metres later to the left and followed this track until we came to a prominently situated house.

We circled around it and followed a track towards the southeast. that led us through the plains towards the ruins of gravel pits and after that back to the parking place

Beautiful landscape. Amazing! Take care when walking: this is nature in action. There are some new ramifications of the canyon branching out to the track. It is recommended to bring a GPS device.

Great walk. The only reason I've given easy o follow 3 stars is because, due to erosion in the 4 years since 2017, parts of the path are a little treacherous but we found alternatives! Relly interesting walk.
