We have mapped out this route to spot otters. They show themselves especially in the morning, but they are very shy. The route starts at a parking lot with BBQ facilities and picnic tables. Wood is neatly there, so take a filled cool box and firelighters for a nice ending! Unfortunately it was not a roundtour for us because at the height of the hydroelectric power station we were not allowed to continue with our dog.
A tip; keep to the wide paths, we were tempted by a narrow (animal) path and therefore had to make a very steep climb to get back on the road. Since we walked in January it was quiet and we could take the dog with us.
We hebben deze route uitgestippeld om otters te kunnen spotten. Vooral in de ochtend laten ze zich zien, maar ze zijn erg schuw. De route begint bij een parkeerplaats met bbq faciliteiten en picknick tafels. Hout ligt er keurig bij, dus neem een gevulde koelbox en aanmaakblokjes mee voor een mooie afsluiting! Het was helaas geen rondwandeling voor ons want ter hoogte van de waterkrachtcentrale mochten we met hond niet verder.
Een tip; houdt de brede paden aan, wij lieten ons verleiden door een smal (dieren) paadje en moesten daardoor een erg steile klim maken om weer op de weg te geraken. Aangezien wij in januari liepen was het rustig en konden we de hond los meenemen.
