Itinerary description
Easy and nice family track. The view on El Escorial and the Sierra de Guadarrama from the Silla de Felipe II is spectacular. Mind: take the diagonal path from "Casita del Principe", because the gate at the end of the straight path is closed. We had a nice lunch after the walk in Arrocería La Buganvilla (C/ del Rey, 41), that´s why the track goes partly through the village of El Escorial.
-Route Milestones (outside built-up area): Casita del Principe - Calleja Larga - Cross the M505 (be carefull!) - Silla Felipe II - Senda Ecológica - 230 m. before crossing the M505 again: take trail on right hand side - Camino del Catañar - Paseo de la Virgen Gracia - San Lorenzo de El Escorial

Note: the restaurant mentioned above does not exist anymore...
If you try it on Monday you will find the beginning through Casita del Rey closed. You can still do most of it once you reach the Monastery
