Itinerary description
We'll start up at the train station and make our way through the Bosque de la Herrería towards Collado de Entrecabezas, a midpoint between two mountains, La Machota Alta and La Machota Baja, by way of La Silla de Felipe II, a place with a nice view of El Escorial. From here we'll head downhill towards Zarzalejo. We'll skirt the town and meet up with part of the Calzada Romana (Roman Road), which will take us back to El Escorial's train station.
