Descripció de la ruta

Sortim de la casa de turisme rural El Ferrés cap a la carretera asfaltada i girem a la dreta. Caminem i en el primer trencant que trobem a mà dreta, tornem a girar.
Continuem per una carretera asfaltada i veiem una bifurcació a l’esquerra. Nosaltres seguim recte fins que s’acaba l’asfalt, davant de la casa de Can Noc. En aquest punt, agafem el camí que passa per la dreta del mas i anem vorejant la Riera de Joanetes.
Passem pel costat d’una granja i arribem a la masia de La Vila. Aquí, trobem un pal amb banderoles verdes de Turisme de Catalunya, que ens indiquen la direcció cap a Sant Miquel de Castelló (refugi de Falgars) i cap a la Riera de Joanetes i les seves gorgues. A més veiem un guió horitzontal de color groc, pintat al pal, que significa que ens hem incorporat a la Xarxa de Senders Itinerànnia. Girem a la dreta, direcció Joanetes, obrim un filat i entrem a dins d’una zona de pastures.
Caminem pel costat d’un prat, guiant-nos per uns rondinos (pals de fusta petits) que hi ha clavats a la vora i per les marques d’Itinerànnia. Arribem a la Riera de Joanetes i la creuem per un pont. Fem una petita pujada a través d’una pista, passem una granja de vaques i continuem endavant fins que enllacem amb la carretera GIV-5273. Trenquem a la dreta i, poc metres després, les marques grogues de la Xarxa Itinerànnia ens fan girar a l’esquerra per entrar a dins d’unes pastures. Les creuem i, quan arribem al final, som a Joanetes, un dels set nuclis de població del municipi de la Vall d’en Bas.
Seguim la senyalització horitzontal d’Itinerànnia fins que gira bruscament a l’esquerra. Aquí la deixem i trenquem a la dreta, en direcció a l’Església romànica de Sant Romà de Joanetes, documentada al segle XII. Caminem fins allà, i després d’admirar la façana, els arcs torals i la pica baptismal, que van sobreviure als terratrèmols del segle XV, baixem les escales situades a la seva dreta, fins a trobar l’asfalt. En aquest punt, girem a l’esquerra i continuem recte per la carretera sense fer cas als camins que giren a una banda i a l’altra.
Arribem davant de la Fonda de Can Barris. Trenquem a la dreta i pugem lleugerament. Passem pel davant d’un transformador elèctric i, de seguida, a la nostra esquerra, trobem un pal de senyalització vertical de Turisme de Catalunya que ens indica Riera de Joanetes i gorgues i Sant Miquel de Castelló, tot en la mateixa direcció. Seguim la banderola i entrem a dins d’unes pastures. Caminem fins que veiem el riu i el creuem a través d’un pont. A l’altra banda, tornem a trobar un pal de Turisme de Catalunya que guia cap a Sant Miquel de Castelló. Seguim aquesta direcció fins a la carretera asfaltada, on veiem novament el camí de l’anada. Girem a l’esquerra i ràpidament arribem a la casa de turisme rural El Ferrés, punt de destí de la nostra ruta.

Track description

We depart from the rural house El Ferrés, heading to the paved road and we turn to the right. We follow this direction, and we turn in the first turning that we will find on the right hand side.
We continue walking through a paved road, and we’ll see a turning on the left. However, we coninue straight, until the pavement ends (in front of a house named Can Noc).
Here, we take the path located in the right side of this house, and that goes along the Joanetes stream.
We continue walking through this path, we pass beside a farm, until we reach a house named La Vila. Here, we find a mast with some green banners (from Turisme de Catalunya), which indicate the direction towards Sant Miquel de Castelló (shelter of Falgars), and also towards the Joanetes stream and its pools. We will also realize that this mast has a horizontal yellow line painted on the mast, these are the kind of marks of the tracks of Xarxa de Senders Itinerànnia, which also heads towards the village of Joanetes.
We turn on the right, we open a wire fence, and we penetrate into a pasture area.
We walk beside a meadow, guided by some little wooden sticks, which are stuck in the edges, and also by the marks from Itinerànnia. We arrive to the stream of Joanetes, and we cross it through a bridge.
We make a little ascension through a path, we pass a cow farm, and we continue straight until we connect with the road of Diputació de Girona, GIV-5273. We turn on the right, and after walking some meters, the yellow marks of Xarxa Itinerànnia make us turn to the left, and we enter into a pasture field. We cross this pasture field, and when we arrive to its boundary, we get to Joanetes, one of the nine villages of the municipality of La Vall d’en Bas.
We follow the horizontal signs of Itinerànnia, until this path turns brusquely to the left, we do not follow this direction, and instead we turn to the right, heading to the Romanic church of Sant Romà of Joanetes, with records from the 12th century. We walk until we get to this church, were we can admire its façade, the toral archs and the baptismal font. All of these elements survived the earthquakes from the 15th century. We descend the stairs located on the right until we find the paved road. At this point, we turn to the left and we continue straight, walking along this road, without following any of the turnings that we will find in each of the two sides of the road.
We arrive to the restaurant Fonda Can Barris, there we turn to the right and we make a little ascension. We pass by an electric transformer, and after that, we immediately realize a mast from Turisme de Catalunya, which shows the direction of the stream of Joanetes and its pools, and also Sant Miquel de Castelló. Everything is in the same direction.
We follow the direction marked by this mast, and we enter a pasture field. We walk until we find the river, and we cross it through a bridge. On the other side, we find another mast of Turisme de Catalunya, which indicates the direction to Sant Miquel de Castelló. We follow this direction, and we walk until we find the paved road, where we see the path that we have taken at the beginning of this track. We turn to the left, and we rapidly get to the rural house of El Ferrés, the destination of our route.
