Itinerary description
Very intense trail, in the first part.
We followed Chris Bergaust GPS Trace (Thank you) on Wikiloc, and remained closely near the Oleoducto road. Some bridges were a bit hairy and we passed two with ropes, but you can as well go down to the river bed and back on the trail.
It took us 10 hours to reach the Gamboa Village and we did not stop more than once for 15 minutes, so it is long. We were caught in the rain , yet this a blessing to cool down. Panama summer hike would be less wet but likely warmer too.
Hiking the trail in reverse is somehow practical as you don't have to coordinate a transport in Gamboa. We found a taxi to get us back in town.
You can find also the Boat ride in wikiloc under my name.
(Battery died before end of trail and wikiloc had a glitch early on. The actual trail to Gamboa village is likely 27 kms...)

It is the third time that tourists have asked us to go by boat to pick them up at the end of the pipeline route, I think I will have to plan to do that route to get to know my own country.
Thanks Pierre.
