Itinerary description
Good hike from the centre of the village.
Quite a long one but well worth the views .from the village centre , follow the Gr15 trail that passes over the bridge near the school..trail is way marked and rises up and passes a small road..here you continue on small track before reaching the road again..stay on the road until reaching village of Cires..go down and around the church ..dont take the sign for the tour, stay on the main farmers track..this climbs up and around the back of Cires.Basically you now just follow this track as is climbs up and around the valley.it passes a junction that is waymarked for Bonanza, ignore this and take the steep gravel track up to another junction..here an easy climb to La Cucurulla..great views across the chain from here.Descend back down to the junction and here the trail is less marked but follows a wonderful open ridge..in the distance you can just see the church Mare de deu Mola..you are heading for this church..stay on the ridge but you see the wooded area you must pass through..stay high and follow one of the many animal tracks..this soon reaches to the other ridge and then joins a farmers track...i think if you stay on high on the first ridge keeping with the farmers track it would lead to the same place. From here this arrives at the church of Mare de Deu Molar..Descend past the church..here i would recommend staying on the main track and this arrives at Buira..i took a small track to the left and not worth the effort as its a bit rough. Leave the village ans stay on the road for a few minutes , sign to your right now takes a small track down to Pont de Suert.
