Itinerary description
8km to Alta Vista refuge overnight then 1.5 hr climb up to summit. Watch sunrise then walk to parador via Pico Viejo. Left refuge 5.45 to catch 7.25 sunrise. In the dark quite a tough climb because its a continual elevation but the stone path is well enough marked
And there are always other climbers if you are on your own. The sunrise from the top is spectacular !
