Itinerary description
Short, panoramic route on the rocky "hat" (sombrero) above Villaflor. (Tenerife)
Starting point: two dilapidated stone houses, 2050m, at left-hand bend and to the right of the main road Villaflor-Cañadas, at Km 59.7 (8.5 Km from Villaflor and 1.2Km below the "Las Lajas" picnic area.
Ascent: a good 400m.
Walking times: main road-caldera rim (1hr)-Sombrero 1/4 hr, return route 1 hr, total time: 2 1/2h.
On the lower stone house, a distintc path marked with white arrows and cairns begins the ascent ("TS 10" is painted on the house).
Better to take left on the ascent and right fo descent.

Easy
No es un camino homologado, pero bien señalado por los usuarios con flechas blancas y hombrecitos de piedra. Lo mejor de esta ruta es cuando se llega a la cima, tiene vistas espectaculares. Claro puede haber mucho viento y frío.
Mal señalizada. Las vistas muy bonitas pero es fácil perderse.
