Itinerary description
We brought some friends to see El Torcal de Antequera, and after al lovely meal in the Restaruant of the Visitors Centre, we decided to do the Green Route. It is an easy path, but very nice, which passes through the Karst landscape, and also through parts of vegetation full of flowers, and animal and birdlife. We saw wild mountain goats, we heard the songs of the goldfinch and other birds, and we inhaled beautiful clean air. A route suitable for everyone. It has a few parts that are a little challenging for those who are not well accustomed to walking in the mountains. But the majesty of the area makes up for the effort required. A very recommendable route. It is well worth while leaving time to drop into the Visitors Centre, see the audio-visual and the exhibition hall, the shop and most of all the Restaurant which serves dishes based on the local produce.
