El Turbon (depuis Vilas del Turbon) 2018-10-23

En venant de la vallée de l'Esera (Grauss, Bénasque), prendre à Campo la route HU-V-9601 en direction de Vilas del Turbon.
Depuis la vallée de la Noguera Ribargoçana, entre Villaler et Pont de Suert, prendre la N-260 vers Castejon de Sos, puis la A-1605 vers Grauss. Après le village de Beranuy et avant celui de Serraduy, prendre la route HU-V-9407 vers Vilas del Turbon.
Passer devant le Balneario Vilas del Turbon, puis dans le grand virage sur la droite, avant le pont sur le torrent, continuer tout droit sur la piste. Faire ainsi une centaine de mètres et se garer sur la plateforme en face du captage d'eau juste avant la barrière (5/6 places).

Coming from the Esera Valley (Grauss, Bénasque), take the road HU-V-9601 to Campo towards Vilas del Turbon.
From the Noguera Ribargoçana valley, between Villaler and Pont de Suert, take the N-260 towards Castejon de Sos, then the A-1605 towards Grauss. After the village of Beranuy and before that of Serraduy, take the road HU-V-9407 towards Vilas del Turbon.
Pass through the Balneario Vilas del Turbon, then in the big curve on the right, before the bridge over the creek, continue straight forward on the trail. Make a hundred meters and park on the platform in front of the water catchment just before the barrier (5/6 places).

Aucune difficulté. Piste puis bon sentier jusqu'à la source de Fuente Canals, avec balisage. Ensuite sentier un peu aléatoire mais avec des cairns jusqu'au sommet.
De part sa situation très excentrée à l'avant de la chaîne, c'est l'un des plus beaux panoramas sur les Pyrénées !

No difficulty. Trail then good path to the spring of Fuente Canals, with markup. Then path a little random but with cairns up to the top.
Due to its very eccentric situation at the front of the chain, it is one of the most beautiful panoramas on the Pyrenees!


Franchir la barrière et poursuivre sur la piste. Suivre cette piste pendant 1,5km environ, en prenant systématiquement l'embranchement de gauche à chaque croisement rencontré.
Après cette distance, vers 1550m, repérer sur la droite le sentier qui s'enfonce dans le bois (panneau indicateur, deux gros cairns). Suivre cet agréable sentier en creux au milieu des buis et des pins.
Lorsqu'on sort de la forêt, le sentier disparaît sur le dos d'une large croupe en prairies. Suivre alors le balisage de piquets rouges qui navigue au milieu des bosquets.
Bien suivre les piquets pour retrouver le sentier quand l'itinéraire pénètre de nouveau dans la forêt.
Vers 1750m on sort de la forêt pour remonter un petit ruisseau jusqu'à la petite source de Fuente Canals (approvisionnement parcimonieux, prévoir un gobelet !).
Quelques piquets marquent la suite de l'itinéraire pour s'interrompre ensuite. Suivre alors les cairns qui marquent le cheminement assez raide dans la garrigue en remontant le flanc droit du barranco Canals par un sentier pas toujours très marqué.
Le cheminement évite le collado de l'Olla et rejoint la large crête au dessus de ce col vers 2100m. Obliquer alors sur la gauche pour déboucher sur un petit plateau herbeux vers 2150m. Aller faire un petit détour vers la borne qu'on aperçoit sur la droite pour profiter d'une belle vue sur la vallée de San Feliu de Veri.
Poursuivre ensuite la progression vers l'ouest en direction de la crête pour déboucher sur une combe herbeuse. Remonter alors cette combe en longeant par la gauche la crête rocheuse.
Parvenu en haut de cette combe, on peut soit suivre la crête passant par le Turbonnet (2346m, notre itinéraire de montée), soit suivre l'itinéraire normal (notre descente) en suivant le sentier cairné qui passe une cinquantaine de mètres en contrebas de la crête. Les deux se rejoignent au collado de Porroduño.
Depuis ce col, longer par la droite la falaise rocheuse en suivant le sentier dans le pierrier qui en tapisse le flanc nord. Faire ainsi le tour du cirque de la vallée de San Adrian pour rejoindre la crête qui descend du Turbon.
Remonter sans difficulté cette crête en suivant les cairns jusqu'au sommet. Dépasser un peu le sommet jusqu'au relais de télécoms pour profiter de la table d'orientation.

Retour par la même chemin, non sans avoir longuement dégusté le panorama !

Cross the barrier and continue on the trail. Follow this trail for about 1.5km, always taking the left fork at each junction.
After this distance, at altitude 1550m, spot on the right the path that goes into the wood (sign, two big cairns). Follow this pleasant trail in the hollow of boxwoods and pines.
When you leave the forest, the path disappears on the back of a wide ridge of meadows. Then follow the markings of red stakes that navigates through the groves.
Follow carefully the pickets to find the trail when the route enters the forest again.
Around 1750m you come out of the forest to go up a small stream to the small spring of Fuente Canals (parsimonious supply, provide a cup!).
A few stakes mark the rest of the route and then stop. Then follow the cairns that mark the path quite steep in the scrubland up the right flank of Barranco Canals by a path not always very obvious.
The route avoids the Collado de l'Olla and joins the wide ridge above this pass towards 2100m. Oblique then on the left to reach a small grassy plateau around 2150m. Go for a detour to the landmark on the right to enjoy a beautiful view of the valley of San Feliu de Veri.
Then continue westward towards the ridge to reach a grassy trough. Then go up this combe by going along the left of the rocky ridge.
Arrived at the top of this valley, one can either follow the ridge passing by the Turbonnet (2346m, our route up), or follow the normal route (our descent) by following the path with cairns that passes about fifty meters down the ridge. The two meet at Collado de Porroduño.
From this pass, follow the rocky cliff on the right following the path through the rocky slope that overlays the northern flank. Go around the cirque of the San Adrian Valley to reach the ridge that descends from the Turbon.
Go up this ridge without any difficulty following the cairns to the summit. Go a little farther to the telecom relay to enjoy the orientation table.

Back by the same path, not without having enjoyed the panorama for a long time!
