INTRODUCTION:
The Wādī Qada'ah (Arabic: وادي قداعة) is a dry valley or river, with intermittent flow, flowing from southeast to northwest, almost exclusively during the rainy season, located northeast of the United Arab Emirates, in the Emirate of Ras al Khaimah. It is an important tributary, on the left, of the Wadi al Bih - وادي البيح
Wadi Qada'ah has been identified with several different spellings: Wadi Kida'ah, Wadi Qada`a, Wadi Qada`ah, Wadi Qadda`a, Wādī Qada'a, Wādī Qada'ah, Wādī Qadda'a, Wadi Quda'ah..... although the most commonly used is Wadi Qada'ah .
In The national atlas of the United Arab Emirates , Wadi Qada'ah is identified as Wadi Kida'ah .
The entire area near Wadi Qada'ah was divided between the Habus tribal areas of Banī Sā'ad , Banī Huraymish , and Banī 'Udayd .

The village of Silay Al Khatami is located at an altitude of approximately 900 m asl, south of Wadi Qada'ah, from where this rural center is accessed via a 4 km gradually sloping dirt track. of length.
This dirt track became popular a few years ago, among fans of 4x4 vehicles, who visited this itinerary en masse, convinced that they had reached the top of a supposed Wadi Sal (confusing Wadi Qada'ah with Wadi Salt, which naturally has nothing to do with it). The caravans of 4x4 vehicles ended up being a nuisance to the neighborhood, and some signs were recently posted limiting vehicle access to residents in the village only.
There is no history of this town in the historical maps prior to the independence of the UAE, nor in the geographical databases, except for a brief review made by William Walker on the reference map FCO 18/1970, drawn by hand in 1959, in the one mentioned by the name of Silail , although its exact position on that map is not precise enough.
On maps drawn up between 1986 and 1991 by the Military Survey, Abu Dhabi, which were used in 1993 for the publication of The national atlas of the United Arab Emirates , names were assigned that correspond to the way in which the name of each is pronounced. place, according to its native inhabitants, this village appearing with the aforementioned name of Silay Al Khatami .
However, in recent years, just as 4x4 vehicle drivers talk about a non-existent Wadi Sal, some hikers have also referred to this village with the name of Sal (as a distortion of the name in Arabic), but that toponym , in addition to being incorrect, it lends itself to confusion, since several kilometers to the west is the Jabal Sal, the true Wadi Sal (tributary of the Wadi Halu) and an area of cultivation and agricultural village that is also called Sal.
THE ROUTE:
Simple round trip common route, from the outskirts of the village of Dhanab, in the Wadi Qada'ah, to the village of Silay Al Khatami , following the dirt track that connects the wadi with the latter village.
The track has a gradual slope, and poses absolutely no problems for walking, except, of course, for the positive and negative slopes that result from this itinerary.
The entire route offers, at different levels, excellent panoramic views of Wadi Qada'ah and the mountains that surround it, especially Jabal Qada'ah (identified in the UAE National Atlas, and by the inhabitants of the area, as Jabal Al Ahqab
Approximately 1 km. Southeast of Silay Al Khatami, in a straight line, is the neighboring village of Tafif (Aţ Ţе̄f), which is accessed, among other ways, through an uphill path that starts from Silay Col (910 m), at the point where the dirt track ends.
The village of Silail Al Khatami has experienced significant growth in recent years, with new constructions, but it still maintains a large part of the cultivated terraces and numerous old dry stone buildings. Also striking are the many cemeteries spread throughout the village.
In the final part of the itinerary, back at Wadi Qada'ah, we took a short tour of the two areas in which the village of Danab is distributed, with the sole purpose of trying to talk to some of its inhabitants, and to be able to We cleared up some doubts with them about the place names of the area, but we only found a goat herder, for whom everything was called Wadi Kida'ah.
ACCESS TO THE ITINERARY AND PARKING:
To reach the starting point of the route, you must take a dirt track of almost 8 km, which starts from the Wadi Qada'ah Dam.
The ideal is to travel this track with a 4x4 vehicle, although currently, with some difficulty and very slowly, a sedan vehicle (that is not a too low model) can also travel. However, it must be kept in mind that at any time, a slightly heavy torrential rain can wreak havoc on the track, making it impassable.
A few meters before the start of the itinerary, at the coordinate point 25.757451, 56.127913 , there is a good parking space.
DIFFICULTY LEVEL OF THIS ROUTE:
The degree of difficulty of a route is measured mainly based on three factors: effort, technicality and risk , although the real difficulty of an itinerary must also take into account other variables, such as the weather situation, the weight of the backpack and the preparation. or physical form of the walker, who must know how to evaluate himself.
To know the physical difficulty or physical effort required, it is useful to use an automatic assessment system, such as the one provided by the PPI index. This is the index that corresponds to this route:

View towards Jebel Al Mebrah and other nearby peaks. Of those indicated in the photo, only the place name of Jebel Al Mebrah is verified and safe. All documentary evidence points to the fact that Jebel Al Mebrah and Jabal Yibir are actually the same mountain and peak, with two different names. Attempts to place Jabal Yibir in a different location are speculative and the result of simple conjecture, without any proof.

¡Buenas tardes!
Beautiful mountain route. A very interesting path and landscape
Bonita ruta con bellas fotos. Un abrazo
