Excellent walk on the walls of Jerusalem. A special thanks to Dario C., Luis B. and Juan José M., companions of this magnificent hike.
Previously, I had done the complete route outside the walls on another day with excellent weather: https://es.wikiloc.com/rutas-senderismo/murallas-y-puertas-de-jerusalem-israel-recorrido-exterior-121795157
Now he wanted to do it on the walls.
We started at the Jaffa gate, after the gate very close there is a small shop that sells tickets and two or three doors towards the Jaffa gate is the climb to the top of the Jaffa gate which is a watchtower ( waypoint).
We were marking each turret with a waypoint, in total there are 20 turrets.
A day with excellent weather, completely clear, with moderate cold and excellent sun.
The walk can be demanding for people with delicate knees due to the large number of steps to go up and down, irregular steps, of variable height and sometimes uncomfortable.
Apart from that, it is a highly recommended and pleasant walk for the views of the city, both outside and inside the walls.
It helps to locate in the city. There is no water on the course.
The route ends next to the Temple esplanade, there is no continuation there and you must necessarily go down.
By the David tower, to the left of the Jaffa gate I saw that there may be another section to walk, I have to investigate.
A highly recommended hike.
