Itinerary description
A beautiful walk that climbs from Erjos onto a ridge above giving superb views of the north-west coast to Los Silos and the Monte del Agua laurel forest and on clear days, to Teide. The walk then follows an enchanting path through the laurel forest before emerging onto the Cumbre de Bolico ridge and climbing to the Degollada de La Mesa from where there are spectacular views into the Masca Valley. After descending from here, a forest pista is followed before descending on an attractive path to the Erjos pools.

Thoroughly enjoyed this route, the views were breathtaking and it was easy to follow. Unfortunately we had to cut our walk short as one of the party felt unwell and could not complete the route. We took a path down to the Charcos de Erjos and returned to the village from there. Disappointed we did not get to walk through the woods or see the view down to the Masca Valley. However, we will return and have that all to look forward to.
Glad you enjoyed the walk, it is certainly a beautiful area. Hope you can go back and complete the walk.
I followed the trail on 13th January 2022. Clear sky with light breeze. Personally I found the hike up through the forrest a little monotonous. You are rewarded with great views of the mountains with Masca below on reaching the top. The forrest do offer shade. Travelled to Erjos by 460 bus from Costa Adeje which took 1 hour 15 minutes. Check out Bar Abrue for food and beverages.
I agree, the views towards Masca are stunning. Never been in Bar Abrue, I tend to use the one a little further along the road. I'll have to give it a try.

I think you have to sign-up if you want to download the walk directly to your phone, but it is very cheap. Alternatively, if you are okay with technology, you can download the GPX file to a computer and upload it into Wililoc and as 'new' route.
