Itinerary description

This is a superb day hike in the Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park in the spanish Pyrenees. Starts at the east entrance to the park, climbs up to the Refugi D'Amitges and returns in a loop via the Mirador. You can leave your car at the park entrance and get a jeep/taxi up to the lake to start the hike. If you finish by 6pm you can catch the jeep/taxi down to the parking lot, otherwise (like in our case) you just have to walk back down an extra 4.5 km.
