Itinerary description
Hike (!) to an island (Vilsandi) off the coast of Saaremaa, not by swimming, not by canoe, just walking through sea straits, over other tiny islands, through swamps (sapropel) and bogs, a kind of adventure. Can be up to 0.90 - 1.20 m deep, better be in swimming suit, in summer water temperature is pleasant (estimated 20-22 C), there are no tides. Most important are appropriate shoes: Plastic, but not sandals. Return either on same routes, or take the boat (either around 2 pm or around 6 pm in summer). Though a very few people are living on Vilsandi, there are no facilities on the island, but emergency overnight in a shelter at the pier is possible.

Great!
Hallo,
Michael
Nein, keine weiteren Hindernisse.
Entschuldige, ich schreibe in Englisch weiter:
Leave the car at the start of the trail (large parking lot) and ask the boat driver on the way back to let you out where the boat crosses the trail (in the water, shallow channel, of course). That was the most exciting part on the trip, when the boat stops in the middle of the water to let you out to the surprise of everybody. The captain knows what he is doing. From there some 20 minutes walking back to the trail head and the car.
