🇪🇸 🇺🇸 | Estrechos del Río Ebrón | Pasarelas del Ebrón → Cascada de Calicanto | El Cuervo (Teruel)

🇪🇸 Español: Ruta de unos 16km por los Estrechos del Río Ebrón, pasando por las pasarelas y llegando a la Cascada de Calicanto. Ruta situada en la localidad de El Cuervo, en Teruel.

Para llegar al aparcamiento oficial de esta ruta nos ayudamos de Google Maps y los paneles informativos. En Google Maps el parking aparece bajo el nombre "No es un parking, es un merendero". Llegamos hasta donde el gps nos guía y luego tendremos indicaciones del "Estrecho del Ebrón" hasta el parking. No hay pérdida! No podemos ir más lejos que el parking en coche. Dejamos el coche allí y empezamos la ruta.

Tramo 1: Tramo por pista - Tramo familiar
Primero es un tramo de unos 2km por pista hasta llegar a un merendero. A partir de este punto empiezan los Estrechos y los tramos equipados con pasarelas, escaleras y puentes.

Tramo 2: Los Estrechos - Tramo familiar
El tramo más chulo de esta ruta sin duda! Apto para todos, ideal para familias. El tramo de los Estrechos nos ofrece vistas increíbles, durante un recorrido muy divertido, pasando por puentes y pasarelas diversas. Este tramo acaba a los 5km más o menos. Es el tramo que realizaremos a la ida y a la vuelta. Lo que es la ruta circular (cascada y mirador) es el tramo 3.

Tramo 3: Ruta circular - Nivel moderado
A partir del km 5.6 empezamos la ruta circular que nos llevará hasta la Cascada de Calicanto, un lugar precioso. Tener en cuenta que para acercarse a la Cascada hay poco espacio seco, con lo cual habría que mojarse un poco los pies! Tras la cascada, subimos al Mirado del Río Ebrón y bajamos de nuevo para volver a las Pasarelas. Consideramos este tramo como moderado ya que incluye un buen desnivel en pocos metros y al realizar este tramo, la ruta en total son unos 16km.

Nos encantó esta ruta, tanto por sus paisajes como por su diversión gracias al tramo con las pasarelas. El tramo familiar son unos 10km. Vimos a muchas familias con niños de todas edades realizar la ruta. El último tramo hasta la Cascada vale la pena, tanto el recorrido como la Cascada son muy bonitos.

🇺🇸 English: Route of about 16km along the Ebrón River Pass, passing through the footbridges and arriving at the Calicanto Waterfall. This route is located in the town of El Cuervo, in Teruel.

To reach the official car park of this trail we use Google Maps and the information panels. In Google Maps the car park appears under the name "No es un parking, es un merendero". We get to where the GPS guides us and then we will have indications for the "Estrecho del Ebrón" parking. You can't get lost! You can't go further than the car park by car. We leave the car there and start the route.

Section 1: Path section - Easy
The first part of the route is about 2 km long and leads to a picnic area. From this point onwards we start the Narrows and the sections equipped with footbridges, stairs and bridges.

Section 2: Los Estrechos - Easy
The coolest section of this route without a doubt! Suitable for everyone, ideal for families. The section of Los Estrechos offers incredible views, during a very fun route, passing over bridges and various footbridges. This section ends after about 5km. This is the section we will do on the way there and back. The circular route (waterfall and viewpoint) is section 3.

Section 3: Loop trail - Moderate
From km 5.6 we start the circular route that will take us to the Calicanto waterfall, a beautiful place. Bear in mind that there is very little dry area to get close to the waterfall, so you may have to get your feet a bit wet! After the waterfall, we go up to the Mirado del Río Ebrón and then down again to return to the footbridges. We consider this section to be moderate as it includes a good amount of elevation gain in just a few metres, and by doing this section, the total route is about 16km.

We loved this route, both for the scenery and the fun, thanks to the section with the footbridges. The easy section is about 10km. We saw many families with children of all ages on the route. The last part to the waterfall is worth it, as both the route and the waterfall are very beautiful.
