Stage 14 - Machermo (4,470 m) - Mong La Pass (3,985 m) - Kyangjuma (3,627 m)
Day November 30, 2019.
2nd Stage back to Lukla.
We will stop before reaching Namche , in the small village of Kyangjuma , where we already passed on the way. We continue parallel to the Dudh Koshi river (Rio de Leche) passing through the towns of Luza, Lhafarma, Dhole, Phortse Tenga and the climb to Mong La Pass .
Technical data :
• Distance: 13 km.
• Difficulty: Moderated by the slope for the Mong La pass.
• Moving time: 5h, 10m.
• Total time with stops: 6h, 30m (stop at Mong La to eat).
• Type of pavement: Dirt road.
• Climb difference: 460 m. ( Real value )
• Descent of descent: 1,195 m.
• Minimum height: 3,627 m. (Diversion to Tengboche).
• Maximum height: 4,470 m. (Machermo).
• Signage: Very marked path
Description of the route:
We do not get up as early as other days and we have breakfast without haste.
Although it had snowed a bit that night, a spectacular day dawned.
The path is lossless and continues parallel to the Dudh Koshi river.
If we look back, we see the impressive Cho Oyu with its 8,201 m, without a single cloud. Too bad the day before on the climb to Gokyo Ri it was cloudy.
We came across several yak caravans, which seemed exhausted from their appearance.
We pass the small villages of Luza, Lhafarma, Dhole, and at the height of Phortse Tenga we start a 360-meter drop in hill climbing, in just over 1.2 km until we reach the Mong La pass (3,985 m) .
The reward for the effort is the beautiful views of the Cho Oyu, Cholatse, Taboche, Ama Dablam and Tamserku peaks.
We stopped for lunch at the Lodge Show Land View . It has a glass window with a good panoramic view.
We continue our way down through the detour to Khumjung and Khunde (Villages that are above Namche ), and the Sanasa that was where we deviated on the way to Tengboche .
When we arrived in Kyangjuma we settled in the Ama Dablam Lodge .
The rooms were on the first floor and with the best views of our beloved Ama Dablam .
At 20:00 they turn off the stove and everyone goes to the rooms sheltered from the down jackets.
Although we are going down in height it is still quite cold in the rooms at night.
The next day 3rd long stage back to Lukla. From where we are, until Phakding, we will pass through Namche Bazar, the Hillary, Jorsalle, Monjo, Chumoa, Benkar and TokTok bridges.
Follow Stage 15 - Kyangjuma - Namche Bazar - Jorsalle - Monjo - Chumoa - Benkar - TokTok - Phakding

Aunque ya va quedando poco, sigue siendo impresionante.
Se nota que ya vais de bajada por los paisajes, la vegetación, la gente...aun asi sigue habiendo unas vistas espectaculares.
