Sixth Stage of the Trekking of the 3 Steps of Everest.

Stage 6 - Dingboche Acclimatization (4,350) - Viewpoints in Nangkartshang (4,760 m)
This day we use it as the second acclimatization stage of the Trekking.
In Dingboche we went up to the 2 viewpoints on the way to Nangkartshang . We did not reach the peak, but I have posted the photos Alejandro, our new traveling companion, who did climb it (5,083 m).
The panorama throughout the tour is impressive.
Technical data :
• Distance: 4.2 km.
• Difficulty: Moderate (The height begins to show).
• Time in motion: 2.30 h.
• Total time with stops: 3h.
• Type of surface: Wide dirt path.
• Ascent slope: 510 m.
• Descent slope: 510 m.
• Minimum height: 4,350 m. (Dingboche).
• Maximum height: 4,760 m. (Viewpoint 2).
• Signage: Easy.
Description of the route:
It was the first night we went above 4,000m, and except for minor headaches, everything was going according to plan.
It will be our second day of acclimatization of the Trekking. This time our objective was the Nangkartshang peak at 5,083 m , above Dingboche , and that most mountaineers use to acclimatize. Here, you can already see the height and you have to go very slowly.
From Dingboche it looks like a tack, but as you go up you realize that it has a significant height. It is the visual sensation that you have from below when you are surrounded by mountains of more than 6,000 meters.
We had all day, so we didn't get up very early and had a leisurely breakfast. Next, we go to the upper area of Dingboche , to take the path that connects the villages of Chukhung and Lobuche . It goes up to the middle of the slope to a Stupa where we turn off to follow the rope.
We went up slowly and enjoying the views of both slopes.
As you go up you have Ama Dablam (6,856 m) on your right,
Taboche (6,495 m) , Cholatse (6,440 m) and Lobuche Peak (6,145 m) on your left,
and straight ahead through the Chukhung Valley, Island Peak (6,189 m) , Baruntse (7,129 m) , Shartse (7,457 m) , Makalu (8,485 m) and Lhotse (8,516 m) .
As I mentioned at the beginning, we did not reach the peak. We stayed on some cliffs at 4,760 m, because we thought it was already high enough to acclimatize.
Our friend Alejandro, who is a machine, did come and gave me some great panoramic photos.
From the top we could see a small lake at the foot of Ama Dablam .
The imposing Makalu with its 8,485 meters, between the Island Peak and the Baruntse .
And to our right, the path that we will follow in a few days, when we return from CB Everest to the village of Dzongla . This village, located between the Cholatse and Lobuche mountains, is where we will spend the night before crossing the Chola Pass towards Gokyo.
We went down to the Stupa near the town to take some photos and we went to eat at the Lodge. The afternoon was spent reading, resting and preparing water (a firecracker) for the next day to Chukhung .
When night falls, it is best to stay in the living room of the lodge, the stove is on and the warmth is cozy, it is cold as hell outside.
Goal of the day accomplished: 2nd day of acclimatization.
