Itinerary description
Camino de Santiago (Portuguese way).
This track is with the porpuse to be only a help for those pilgrims from Santiago who travel the Portuguese way.
For those who have not traveled into Galician zone, it is necessary to let know that the yellow arrows, the sidewalks, tracks, roads of almost the entire route, although there are sections that the modern modification of the roads has made it difficult to follow them.
The milestones indicating the kilometers remaining to reach Santiago were placed many years ago, with small variations not reflected in them, so they are only indicative.
There are some supply support for liquid, fruit or other foods is, in general, scarce, so this circumstance must be foreseen, although we have always found a liquid support point (booth, vending machine,...) . In this stage, specifically, possible supply difficulties occur more in the second half than in the first.
It is convenient, especially in times of saturation, to anticipate the shelter or hostel where to spend the night was not our case, cause we did on winter and Covid-19 time.
The route is between paths surrounded by leafy forests of oaks, eucalyptus, varieties of pines, hazelnuts, chestnut trees, corn crops, fruit trees.
Any person moderately that use to walk with well-used shoes and well-fitting socks can easily complete any stage, always leaving the option of dividing an "official" stage in two.
You have to remember that in Galicia you always have to travel wearing protective clothing from the water. In our case it only drizzled one day.
