Itinerary description
I started this hike following a GPS track I found on Wikiloc, but it didn't mention there is a relevant portion off the trails which can be intimidating and dangerous for anyone without prior experience.
The path starts at the lighthouse and proceeds clockwise. If you follow the GPS track, soon you will be walking on a path well delimited by stones on both sides. The path goes along the western cliffs and offers amazing views. At some point you will have to leave it and cross the land aiming to the right of the big abbandoned building that you can see in the distance across the street you came from (by bus, usually). There is no path, but the terrain is quite easy to navigate. At some point you will cross an offroad track that you can follow all the way to the main street.
Once you crossed the street, walk by the abandoned greenhouse and join the trail that climbs on the side of the mountain.
After approximately 1.5 km you will have to leave the trail and head down, towards the cliff and Punta Diente de Ajo. The whole discent is off the trail, on a steep slope covered in unstable rocks and local vegetation. You will descent 100 meters of elevation in less than 300 meters of linear distance. If you brought them, this is a good time to use your hiking poles.
After merging with the lower path that runs along the cliff, head back towards the lighthouse. The whole path is exposed on the left, be careful.
