Itinerary description
We did start this beautiful hike at Zopilote, but soon realized that it’s easier to start at Finca Magdalena (which explains the weird circle at the begging).
The hike itself is tough and directly through the dense rainforest. It took us 4 hours to get to the lagoon. Nothing like an easy hike, since it’s really rocky, steep and muddy. In the end with the beautiful view and tons of monkeys you see totally worth it.
I would recommend a guide, since it’s not expensive and they are super keen to show you as much native plants and animals as possible.
